PublicWorksEquipmentThe Public Works Department is located at 2300 N. 158th St. Basehor, KS 66007.  The Street Division of the Public Works Department contributes to the quality of life of Basehor residents by maintaining approximately 43 linear miles of city streets including maintenance, improvements and snow removal. The Division also maintains and schedules repairs and improvements on City Streets, all City facilities including the Field of Dreams Athletic complex the City Park, state licensed animal confinement area as well as general maintenance on all designated City property. LloydMartleyThe Police Department is under the command of Chief of Police, Lloyd Martley, Jr. The Basehor Police Department consists of an administration Department, Investigations, Patrol and Animal Control. The Chief is responsible for overseeing the functions of staff, Municipal Court, budget preparation and long-range planning.


The Basehor City Park is located at 15940 Leavenworth Rd. Basehor, KS 66007, approximately a mile west of 155th Street. The park has a shelter, gazebo, pavilion, children's playground area, volleyball court, and restroom facility. All facilities are available at no charge from dawn to dusk. The Basehor Building Safety Department staff assures the public's health, safety, and welfare in the city's built environment, while facilitating construction and development as well as ensuring new construction complies with all adopted construction codes. This division of the Planning and Zoning Department issues building permits and conducts building inspections. The codes division is also responsible for the enforcement of all Municipal Codes relating to property maintenance.
